On Aug 12th, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office Korea (UNIDO ITPO Korea), in collaboration with Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC Tashkent), hosted an Uzbekistan industrial development seminar for a Korean Youth Delegation in Tashkent.
The Korean Youth Delegation consisted of youths from the metropolitan area who were participating in the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerating program (GBSA).' The seminar covered raising awareness of Uzbekistan's industrial development, introducing Uzbekistan's economy and industry, and expanding opportunities for Kor-Uzb bilateral collaboration.
During the seminar, the advisor from UNIDO ITPO Korea explained the current status of Uzbekistan’s industrial development, the movement of economic cooperation between the two countries, and the key achievements in investment facilitation and technology transfer through the UNIDO ITPO Korea Advisory Programme.
After the seminar, the delegation visited INNO Technopark, a leading technology hub in Tashkent, where they learned about Uzbekistan’s efforts in innovative industrial development and the support policies for youth entrepreneurs.
Through the seminar, UNIDO ITPO Korea enhanced the Korean youth's understanding of Uzbekistan’s industrial potential and contributed to building a foundation for future cooperation between the two countries.
