On May 22nd, Mr. Maengho Shin, Head of UNIDO ITPO Korea, hosted a delegation of 10 representatives from IT-Park Uzbekistan, including Mr. Jahongir Radjabov, the Deputy Director of the IT Park. The two parties discussed measures to enhance bilateral exchanges and expand business opportunities in the IT industry between Korea and Uzbekistan.
The delegation was first introduced to the various startup support programs of d.camp, the largest startup incubator in the country. The tour continued with a visit to Front1, providing the delegation with the opportunity to explore startup operations and facilities while observing the overall startup ecosystem.
The Uzbekistan delegation's visit was aimed at strengthening the capacity of IT Park management and operational personnel by visiting Korea's IT industry, learning about its IT convergence cases, and enhancing their understanding of the importance of IT through studying Korea's economic growth process and relevant policy strategies. Furthermore, the visit sought to provide delegations with opportunities for benchmarking by visiting relevant institutions and companies in Korea.
UNIDO ITPO Korea will continue to support the technology transfer and investment of domestic companies, including startups, to developing countries to contribute to inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
