As part of the efforts to strengthen cooperation between South Korea and Uzbekistan through the UNIDO ITPO Korea Advisory Programme, the UNIDO Korea Advisor in Uzbekistan recently visited the Gyeonggi Business Centre (GBC) office in Tashkent for insightful discussions with Director General Chung Ho Choi.
During the meeting, both parties discussed their plans for the second half of 2024, highlighting successful cooperation cases in Uzbekistan and expressing a shared commitment to further collaboration.
The discussion identified new project opportunities across various sectors to facilitate networking between Korean businesses and Uzbek enterprises. GBC Tashkent expressed a keen interest in aligning efforts with UNIDO ITPO Korea and engaging in collaborative initiatives within the Advisory Programme in Uzbekistan.
Notably, the parties agreed to host a joint seminar titled "Business and Investment Opportunities in Uzbekistan for Korean Investors" on August 12th, 2024. This event, organized within the framework of the Advisory Programme, is expected to serve as an excellent platform for promoting the business climate of Uzbekistan to Korean partners.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, setting the stage for a dynamic partnership poised to drive economic growth and elevate cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan to new heights.
